Unfenced - Abuse Reporting and Takedown
Last updated: 17 September 2026
Unfenced lets users direct an automated agent to read the web and to act on third-party sites under the user's own authority. If you operate a site and believe Unfenced is being used against you in a way that breaks our rules or the law, this page explains how to tell us and what happens next.
Our Acceptable Use Policy prohibits unlawful access, terms-violating scraping, credential misuse, targeting individuals, and abusive traffic. We act on well-founded reports.
1. How to report abuse
Send a report to abuse@unfenced.ai. It is monitored, and it is the fastest route to a human. To let us act quickly, include:
- Who you are and your relationship to the affected site or account (e.g. owner, operator, authorized agent, rights holder).
- What is happening - the behavior you are reporting and why it violates our policy or the law.
- Where - the affected domain(s), URL(s), and account or endpoint.
- When - dates/times and, if you have them, request identifiers or characteristics that help us locate the activity. (Note: we do not store end-user IP addresses, so we cannot match on IP.)
- What you want - e.g. that we stop the activity, or disable a specific user's access.
- A statement that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to make the report.
Reports made in bad faith or that misrepresent authority may themselves be unlawful.
2. Copyright / DMCA notices
If you believe content retrieved or stored through the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice to legal@unfenced.ai including:
- Identification of the copyrighted work.
- Identification of the allegedly infringing material and where it is.
- Your contact information.
- A statement of good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and you are authorized to act for the rights holder.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
We will respond to valid notices, remove or disable access to the material we hold, and give the affected user notice and an opportunity to reply.
We do not claim a statutory safe harbour, and we have not registered a designated agent. Unfenced is operated from Israel and is not a US host electing into 17 U.S.C. ยง512, and it is not a publishing platform: it retrieves pages on a user's instruction and holds the result for that user alone, rather than making anything available to the public. We act on valid notices because it is the right thing to do and because our Acceptable Use Policy forbids the underlying use - not because a statute conditions our liability on it. If you believe a formal process applies to your claim, say so in your notice and we will engage with it.
3. Law-enforcement and legal requests
Formal requests from law enforcement or via legal process should go to legal@unfenced.ai. We respond to valid, properly scoped requests in accordance with applicable law. Note our data practices limit what we hold - in particular, we do not store user IP addresses, and the audit chain is redacted of credentials, cookies, tokens, form values, and response bodies (see the Privacy Policy).
4. What we do with a report
- Acknowledge - we aim to confirm receipt within 2 business days.
- Investigate - we review the report against our Acceptable Use Policy and the law, using the information available to us.
- Act - where a report is well-founded we may, proportionately and depending on severity: warn the user; disable a specific stored credential or session; remove a site from a user's act-allowlist; rate-limit or block access to the reported target; or suspend or terminate the account. Serious or ongoing violations may be acted on immediately.
- Respond - we aim to inform the reporter of the outcome, subject to privacy and legal limits.
We may decline reports that are outside our control (for example, a dispute purely between a user and a site that does not involve a policy or legal violation), and will say so.
5. A note on how the Service works
Unfenced does not independently choose which sites to visit; it carries out instructions from users, who warrant they are authorized to direct that access. When we receive a credible report that a user has exceeded that authority, we act against the user, not by monitoring all traffic. This is why specific, well-evidenced reports let us respond fastest.
